I bought a couple of eye shadows from the Body Shop just after my birthday last year with a voucher my Mum kindly gave me for a birthday gift. One of the colours I bought is called India rose quartz (colour number 120) and the colour is a beautiful light pink, champagne colour. I wear the eye shadow almost every day and the eye shadow is light and easy to apply, and helps to add a bit of shimmery colour around the eye area 🌸
A couple of days ago I thought of doing a couple of interviews with people I know of and look up to a lot who are in the natural beauty and skin care industry, to share on Litten blog 🌸 one of the people I thought of was beautiful Elle Ferguson (@elle_ferguson) who was awarded the Cosmopolitan Woman of the Year in Fashion award, has a beautiful Instagram page with lots of clothing and style inspiration and who also created an award winning tanning mousse called the Elle Effect tanning mousse (@elleeffect).
I bought a copy of a book called Earth to earth from a bookshop a couple of years ago and the book has a beautiful cover with a photograph of a sculpture, which is noted to be made from pumice stones and to be positioned in a calm pond. The reflection of the sculpture helps to create a circle shape, and the book has a lot of photographs of circle shape sculptures made from natural materials and photographed in nature.
Here is a recipe for a plant based hot chocolate by Deliciously Ella 🌸 the recipe is from Ella's book Deliciously Ella Every Day and only has a couple of plant based ingredients you could hopefully find at your local shop or supermarket. The hot chocolate drink has a beautiful flavour and feels so nourishing and warming to make on a cold day.
I have been using the purifying face cleanser by Neutrogena naturals for a couple of years now and the cleanser is the one I use most often, both in the morning and evening. The purifying face cleanser is gentle and reliable, helps to gently remove make up and cleanse the skin, and could hopefully be found at your local shop or supermarket 🍃
Here are a couple of recipes with honey, found in the healthy foods and superfoods book 100 Best Health Foods. I have always loved honey on its own or in a warm lemon, honey and ginger drink, and honey is also one of my favourite ingredients to include in baking or cooking recipes. When I was little I enjoyed watching the bees and honey bees in the garden, and was always curious about where the bees would go after gathering pollen from the flowers, and how the honey was made 🌸
I bought a copy of a book called 100 Best Health Foods from a book shop a couple of years ago in about 2012 or 2013 when I was studying at uni. I was at a book shop one day and remember thinking the book cover looked so beautiful with the photos of the broccoli, raspberries and almonds, and the book is full of helpful nutritional information about healthy foods and superfoods, with accompanying recipes to try.
I was gifted a pack of the vitamin E gentle cleansing facial wipes from the Body Shop from my Aunty and her family for Christmas. The face wipes come in a compact light pink and white package and are so beautiful and feel light, gentle and refreshing to use on the skin, to help to cleanse and gently remove face make up.
A couple of months ago in February, Kora Organics launched a new skin care product, the noni radiant eye oil 🌸 I had not used an eye oil before, and the Kora Organics eye oil is beautiful, and feels so light and nourishing to use. I use the eye oil both in the morning and at night after cleansing, by gently patting the eye oil into the delicate skin around the eye area.
