Here is a mini wardrobe tour of a couple of my favourite pieces of clothing and accessories from my wardrobe I wear often 🌸 the pieces I chose include a pair of blue Girlfriend jeans from Witchery, a cream camisole top from Country Road, a honey colour warm coat from Ashley Fogel and a light brown and gold handbag from Trenery. The clothing pieces are quite simple and are in soft and neutral colours to help to go with a lot of other pieces, including more detailed pieces.
I was inspired by Kitty Cotten who has a capsule wardrobe and shares a lot of tips about how to create a capsule wardrobe on her blog and YouTube channel, including how to make quite careful choices, to try to buy less pieces, and to invest in high quality pieces where possible. Kitty also suggests a book called the Curated Closet by Anuschka Rees could be helpful in finding your personal style and carefully building a wardrobe with pieces you love, which are easy to wear and helpful for your personal lifestyle.
A mini wardrobe tour
A cream camisole
The cream camisole is from Country Road, a clothing brand with lovely and carefully made clothing, shoes, accessories and homewares of a high quality and simple style. The camisole is made from viscose, a soft fabric, and has a lining to help the camisole to not be see through. The camisole also has a pretty strap detail and a v neck, and is helpful to wear with a lot of other pieces, including blue or navy jeans or pants for a more casual look, or with skirts and heels or boots 🌸
Blue Girlfriend jeans
I bought a pair of Girlfriend jeans from a clothing brand called Witchery in 2016 and wear them often as they feel so comfortable and are a pretty shape and light blue denim colour. The jeans are lovely to wear with a pair of boots and a jumper, or with a pair of pretty sandals or heels and with a camisole, blouse or light shirt tucked in as the jeans are quite high waisted. The Girlfriend jeans also have rose gold buttons.
A honey colour coat
The honey colour coat is by a New Zealand designer called Ashley Fogel, and has a light, beige colour with a light baby pink lining. The coat is about 3/4 length, and has a simple, open style without buttons or a tie. The coat also has a simple feminine shape with 3/4 length sleeves, and feels so lovely to wear. I also wrote an earlier post about keeping warm in the autumn and wrote about the honey colour coat there too.
A light brown shoulder bag
The light brown shoulder bag is from a lovely Australian and New Zealand brand called Trenery, a sister brand to the Country Road brand (as noted above). The shoulder bag is a simple shape, with pretty gold details and a strap to help to wear the bag on the shoulder or cross body if you would like to. The handbag is a good size to fit your phone, wallet, lipstick, a scarf and a book and the light brown colour is one of my favourite colours 🌸
Are there any pieces from your wardrobe you love so much too, or are there any books or clothing brands you would recommend?
