A natural facial oil by L’Elu skincare

I follow a natural skin care brand on Instagram called L’Elu skincare, who are based in Australia and make beautiful natural facial oils for different skin types, with a lot of natural pure plant oils and essential oils πŸ•Š all of the photos on the L’Elu skincare page and website are so beautiful, and the logo for the brand is a geometric flower shape. L’Elu skincare kindly asked if I would like to try one of the natural facial oils to say thank you for the support and posted a gift package, with one natural facial oil, a card and a creamy and organic chocolate from loving earth (@lovingearth) (thank you so much L’Elu skincare and loving earth) πŸ•ŠπŸŒΈ here is a post to share and note a bit about L’Elu skincare and the natural facial oil, posted as a kind gift.

About L’Elu skincare

As noted on the L’Elu skincare website, L’Elu is a French word for ‘the chosen’ and allows you to create and to customise your own skin care, made with ingredients, which are just right for you. Further, you can choose to purchase a carefully created pre made formulation for your skin type, and a couple of the skin types noted include dry skin, mature skin, sensitive skin, oily or combination skin, thalassophile (for lovers of the ocean) and meraki (noted to mean doing something with soul, creativity or love, to put all of yourself into your work). You can also create a customised product, where only natural oils, which are suitable for your skin type and skin concerns, are shown on the customisation page.

As also noted on the L’Elu skincare website, L’Elu skincare is a luxurious, natural, vegan and cruelty free skin care brand, which is handmade in South East Queensland. L’Elu skincare does not test on animals and each product is handmade with no added perfumes, preservatives, or damaging ingredients, and with the highest quality, sustainably sourced ingredients. Further, 10% of the profits of each product goes toward a different charity each quarter, and the customer can choose which charity to contribute to at the checkout. L’Elu skincare also note how oil may not absorb into dehydrated skin until the acid mantle has been restored and balanced, and with continued use over time, skin will become hydrated and the oil will be able to be absorbed easier.

Benefits of facial oil

πŸ•Š reduces clogged pores by dissolving ‘plugs,’ blackheads, and whiteheads, which means pores appear smaller
πŸ•Š reduces the formation of fine lines and wrinkles
πŸ•Š moisturises and soothes irritated skin
πŸ•Š helps to fight acne
πŸ•Š balances the acid mantle
πŸ•Š acts as a seal when used on top of other skincare products, locking all the goodness in!
πŸ•Š packed with fatty acids
πŸ•Š a natural source of antioxidants, minerals and vitamins

A natural facial oil

The natural facial oil kindly posted is noted to be for mature skin, and came carefully packaged in a beautiful geometric shape card box, with the logo and L’Elu skincare printed in silver. The natural facial oil is a 30ml size and a description about the natural facial oil, a careful and clear list of the ingredients (including natural plant oils and essential oils) and a couple of directions for use are printed on the packaging. The natural facial oil is in a glass bottle, with a glass drop application to help to apply the natural facial oil. The natural facial oil has a natural and earthy scent, is a clear golden colour and feels so luxurious and lovely to use. The natural facial oil is light and natural, absorbs into the skin quite easily and helps skin to feel so soft and looked after. I apply the natural facial oil onto my face, neck and chest area just after cleansing, misting and moisturising my skin, and also applied the KORA Organics rose quart heart facial sculptor with the natural facial oil.

As noted on the L’Elu skincare website, the natural facial oil for mature skin focuses on hydration, balancing the acids in the skin, cell turn over and encouraging the production of collagen. Further, the natural facial oil for mature skin is also low comedogenic, like all of the L’Elu skincare oils, which means it won’t clog pores. Although I only tried one the natural facial oils by L’Elu skincare, I’m sure all of the other natural facial oils for different skin types would also be carefully made, safe, beautiful to use and helpful, balancing, nurturing and nourishing for the skin.

Directions: Use the facial oil in both the morning and evening, in the final stage in your skincare regime. You can mix the facial oil with a moisturiser on the back of your hand by dropping the desired amount into moisturiser and mix, or use the facial oil alone. Apply the facial oil to the face, neck, dΓ©colletage and back of hands, then press into the skin with an upward motion for 1 minute. As noted on the website, the founder of L’Elu skincare personally enjoys applying the oil and then performing a facial massage. Facial massages are noted to increase circulation (which in turn increases collagen production and prolongs the signs of ageing), to decrease puffiness, and to firm and strengthen the facial muscles.

Have you tried a natural facial oil by L’Elu skincare too, or a different kind of natural plant based oil for the face? I am hoping to be able to repurchase a natural facial oil by L’Elu skincare, and all of the products are made with a lot of kindness and care (a second blog post sharing a couple of favourite natural facial oils, including the L’Elu skin care facial oil also coming soon)

I also wrote an earlier blog post about the KORA Organics noni glow face oil and the very gentle restoring oil by Trilogy Products in case you would also like to read a couple more blog posts about natural face oils (please check the links)

Disclaimer: please note, although the facial oil was kindly gifted by L’Elu skincare, I enjoy and appreciate using the natural face oil a lot and tried to be as honest and objective as possible, and hope noting a bit about the L’Elu skincare brand could be helpful in case you are hoping to try a natural facial oil too πŸ•ŠπŸŒΈ
