Summer peaches with honey and almonds

Here is a post to share a recipe for summer peaches, with fresh honey and chopped almonds I sometimes make in the summer, when there are a lot of beautiful different kinds of ripe peaches (golden, pink) from countryside orchards πŸ•ŠπŸŒΈ for the recipe you would just need a couple of ripe peaches, fresh honey and whole natural almonds, and you could also include creamy yoghurt and any other kind of fruit you enjoy, or a different kind of fruit in case you cannot find any peaches close by to where you are (could also include strawberries, watermelon, oranges, bananas, blueberries).

Summer peaches with honey and almonds

(for 2)

  • 2 or 3 ripe, whole peaches (could include golden belle, pink peaches or any kind of peach you enjoy)
  • a couple of teaspoons of honey
  • a handful of whole almonds, chopped

Carefully chop the whole peaches into slices, being careful around the stone of the peach and place in a bowl (with other fresh fruits in case you are hoping to include more fresh fruits). Chop the whole almonds roughly, and sprinkle over the peaches. Drizzle over the honey (you could need to warm the honey briefly in a saucepan or in a microwave) and enjoy 🌸

Do you love summer peaches (and summer fruits) a lot too? Are there any different kinds of recipes you enjoy making with peaches?

As noted in the 100 Best Health Foods book, almonds are rich in monounsaturated fats and take quite a long time for the body to digest, due to the high fat content. Almonds are also noted to be very high in the antioxidant vitamin E, which helps to keep skin healthy and to protect the body against skin problems. Further, almonds are higher in calcium than almost any other kind of plant food, and are thus noted to be an excellent addition to vegan diets or to those who don’t eat dairy products.
